Azusa here...
Do you have any Tama-Go?
It's the latest version of Tamagotchi
There's many types of faceplate that we can use for our Tama-Go, right?
Right now Yui-sempai is creating a custom faceplate with a picture of mine >///<
Well...
I have to admit it...
Her creation is cute.... >///<
But it's just what I think!
I'm going to upload it later

Sincerly,
Azusa

Azusa Nakano (中野なかの あずさ Nakano Azusa) is a new student atSakura High. She decides to join the light music club after seeing their performance in the school festival and becomes the group's rhythm guitarist.

Character

She is in the same year and class as Ui Hirasawa and Jun Suzuki, and has quite a mysterious demeanor. She is a self-proclaimed novice guitarist who has been playing the guitar since she was in the fourth grade, and her parents are working in a jazz band.
She joins the light music club at the middle of the first season. She is often exasperated by the tea and sweets served by her club mates, and by the costumes they wear. However, she has a certain weakness for sweets and can be calmed down rather easily, sometimes just from being petted. Yui nicknamed her Azu-nyan (-nyan is a Japanese suffix associated with cats) after convincing her to try on a pair of cat ears and meow. Ironically, Azusa is not too good with cats. In the band, she looks up to Miomostly due to her maturity. She even tries to give Mio chocolate on Valentine's Day. However, she sometimes unintentionally makes remarks concerning Mio's weaknesses, such as her weight. She gets a tan very easily, once during their time at the beach and another during a music festival (even after applying sunscreen). Azusa is always frustrated with the club's aloof behavior, but she tends to get roped in inadvertently, and ends up enjoying herself as well. She is also very smart and takes care of Yui when she can, making study plans for her, teaching her guitar, and cheering her up by meowing or cosplaying for her.

After the original four members graduated, she succeeds Ritsu as the club's president. In the manga, Jun and Ui both joined the club immediately after the seniors graduated. However, in the anime, it was revealed in episode 26, which takes place before episode 23, that to Yui's delight, Jun and Ui were practising with Azusa in preparation for the year's school opening session. This implies that Jun and Ui implicitly joined before the seniors graduated, in the anime.
She will get her own unique storyline in her senior year at college in the upcoming manga issue with Jun and Ui.

Appearance

Azusa has long black hair, which she wears it in pigtails, and orange-tinted brown eyes. She is the shortest member of the group and has cat like features (e.g small eyes and a slightly thinner face.)
Azusa's skin is the same shade as the other girls, but she's sensitive to sunlight even with applying heaps of sunscreen on.

Trivia

  • The other girls sometimes comment on how much Azusa and Mio resemble each other (especially during the few times when their hair is styled the same way), to the point where they could pass for sisters.
  • Both Ui and Jun mistake Azusa for a stranger when they see her tanned for the first time. This happens twice with Ui, despite the fact that she was visiting Azusa at home at the time and had seen the tan once before.
  • Though she claims to dislike being treated like a cat or a child, Azusa often unknowingly displays cute behavior that causes the other girls to treat her that way: pouting when no one is willing to practice, mewling like a cat when startled or sad, and putting on animal ears (in one case, forgetting she had them on overnight) as a distraction.
  • Her parents were in a jazz band at one point.
  • In the anime (possibly in the manga as well), Jun and Ui normally describe her as an anime figurine, in at least 2 occasions.

Tsumugi Kotobuki (琴吹ことぶき つむぎ Kotobuki Tsumugi), otherwise known as Mugi, is a wealthy cheery cute girl with a gentle personality who plays the keyboard in the light music club. She was originally going to join the choir club, but after Ritsu Tainaka's false flashback she thought it would be fun to join the club.

Character

Mugi is a wealthy girl who has a sweet and gentle personality. Mugi is considered a piano prodigy since she was four and has experience winning in piano contests. Mugi has a long, wavy blonde hair and sapphire-blue eyes, and she has a very fair complexion that the other girls don't have. She is the daughter of a company president, and her family has several villas in various places around Japan (and even one in Finland, much to Ritsu, Azusa and Ui's surprise when they try to contact her at home). She often brings sweets and confectioneries to her friends. The tea set and the tea which they drink often are unusually high. Although she is a sweet and gentle girl, she is often weirdly entranced by the sight of two girls interacting closely together, sometimes imagining something more risque in her head (both Mio and Ritsu find this awkward at times). She originally intended to join the choir club, but joins the light music club instead after receiving an invitation and encouragement from both Mio and Ritsu. Mugi displays a rebellious streak occasionally, due to her wanting to deviate from her wealthy nature, and diverts from a well-behaved and mature demeanor to the surprise of others. She also has a habit of getting a little too enthusiastic about experiencing new things that the others take for granted (such as ordering fast food, eating yakisoba at a festival, and purposely provoking Ritsu to hit her).
Despite her being wealthy, she also tries her hand at a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant. While a lot of things do not bother her, she is fairly conscious about her weight (just like Mio), and she gets a bit anxious when her family's staff start spoiling her friends during villa visits.

Yui Here~

Wow!
My first post!
Just had a lunch :9
Guess what's my lunch!
Bread and  strawberry jam!
Did you know that Mio-chan loves strawberry?
I guess that's why she often take the strawberry desserts --a
Oh well...

Yum! x9

P.S. Ui's handmade strawberry jam is the best!

Ritsu Tainaka (なか りつ Tainaka Ritsu) is a drummer. She proclaims herself as the president of the light music club.

Character

She has an ambiguous yet upbeat personality, but often has trouble remembering important club activities and announcements, and gets constantly yelled at by Mio after being reminded by Nodoka after forgetting to send in important forms concerning the club. Ritsu is cheerful, often likes making jokes and is sarcastic most of the time. She usually brainstorms for ideas to earn more money and for the club’s success. She first claimed she chose to play the drums because they are “cool”, but in reality, she has trouble playing instruments which involve intricate finger movements, such as the bass, guitar and keyboard, which she later admitted. She has known Mio since elementary school and often teases her whenever she is cowering from something and has the opportunity to do so. Ritsu is always on the go and will stop at nothing for the success of the light music club. Ritsu has shoulder-length brown hair, with her bangs pulled back with a yellow hairband, and gold-colored eyes.

Trivia

  • Her surname is taken from former P-Model drummer Sadatoshi Tainaka.
  • Ritsu sometimes punishes Yui and Azusa with choke holds when they offend her, but she has never done so with Mio or Mugi. She did, however, hit Mugi at one point after an unintentional comment she made (and after the both of them failed at getting someone to hit her at her request). She also once kicked Mio in the shins after Mio tried to stop Mugi and her from taking advantage of Yui and forcing her to join their club.
  • She is surprisingly good at cooking and hand-knitting (but not with machine sewing).
  • Ritsu's father owns a pair of pink striped boxer shorts, which he left in stack of shirts on the dining room floor. Oddly enough, this makes him the second character in the series that owns striped underwear.
  • Ritsu has an admiration for Keith Moon who is the drummer of the English band The Who.
  • Mio once called Ritsu as Cozy Powell who is a famous English rock drummer.
  • Ritsu has a little brother, Satoshi, and seems pretty close to him. Apparently, Satoshi enters Ritsu's room frequently that Ritsu had to warn him not to enter her room when she was about to practice for Romeo and Juliet drama with Mio. That time, Satoshi laughed out loud when he heard Ritsu's odd voice when acting as Juliet from outside.
  • Her drumset is a yellow Yamaha Hipgig,Cocktail and Jr. drumset. It looks quite cool because it is very seldom that you see the cymbals above the bass drum and the floor tom at the left side.

Mio Akiyama (秋山あきやま みお Akiyama Mio) is the bassist and secondary vocalist of the light music club.

Character

Mio is a shy girl, and can be easily frightened, mostly due to scary stories and gross things brought up by her childhood friend Ritsu Tainaka.
Mio originally intended to join the literary club, but is forced into the light music club by Ritsu. She gets excellent grades in school, but is bad with listening to stories involving macabre experiences, and cowers whenever something gross is brought up. While she can be mature and strict sometimes, she gets embarrassed easily, and is often subject to teasing from Ritsu and Sawako, their club adviser.
She cites that she chose bass since it is not the center of attention in the band, unlike the guitarist. Mio is more technical when it comes to music, and Yui often comes to her when she is in need of more guitar tutorials. She writes most of the club's songs, although they often contain odd lyrics. As she is left-handed, she becomes entranced whenever she sees left-handed instruments, as well as left-handed musicians.
Due to an unexpected accident in one of their live performances, she acquired a huge amount of popularity; even a fan club for her is formed (much to her dismay considering the circumstances surrounding it). Because of this, most of her classmates voted her to play as Romeo in their class play.
According to Ritsu, Mio likes watching sports activities.

Appearance

Mio has a long, straight black hair and gray eyes (that are angled slightly more than the other characters). Mio is the tallest member at 160cm, and has a larger bust than Ritsu and Yui.

Trivia

  • Her surname is taken from former P-Model bassist and keyboardist Katsuhiko Akiyama.
  • Mio is also seemingly a fan of Lomography, as she is often seen with a camera strongly resembling the Lomo LC-A during her summer training.
  • Megumi Sokabe , the former president of the student council and also former president of the Mio Akiyama Fan club asked her for an autograph signed "Mio-tan".
  • Mio tends to pick strawberry type desserts the most
  • In the anime her bass guitar is a Fender Reggie Hamilton Standar American Jazz Bass tri-color sunburst with Four-ply tortoise-shell pickguard and rosewood fretboard not the said earlier Precission Bass.
  • Yui gave Mio's bass a name, she called it Elizabeth.
  • Mio has exceptionally large hands, roughly twice the size of Azusa's.
  • When stressed by social situations where she is the center of attention, her head is known to expand momentarily and then explode in a gas of cloud to unleash her built-up stress.
